Millennials Are Killing Musicals is an original pop-rock musical comedy about identity, motherhood, social media, and the algorithm.
Meet Brenda: single millennial mom trying to get better at “adulting,” especially compared to the seemingly perfect Jake’s Mom at her daughter’s school. But just as Brenda starts to reclaim her creativity and confidence, her younger #influencer sister Katrina shows up eight months pregnant and completely unprepared for motherhood.
As three social media filters from a mobile app called Instacam turn up the pressure, Brenda, Katrina, and Jake’s Mom are pushed into chaos by the algorithm, and forced to confront what authenticity means in a world built for comparison, performance, and content.
